Open Streets TO, Toronto’s largest outdoor recreational program, is back this summer!

From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 20 and Sunday, September 17 2017, Open Streets will close portions of Bloor Street and Yonge Street to motorized vehicles and open them to people on foot, bikes, rollerblades, wheelchairs, skateboards and more.

Open Streets TO is currently looking for interested community associations, businesses, non-profits, or just engage residents who love their neighbourhood and want to help show it off! How, you might ask? Open Streets facilitates Activity Hubs along the route, bringing life and animation to the street. These hubs are chock full of community-led, interactive activities – things like exercise and dance classes, art installations, sample stations, musical performances, street games, water stations, obstacle courses, neighbourhood tours and more. The possibilities are nearly endless, and we’d love to hear your ideas.

If this sounds like something you want to be a part of, fill out the Activity Proposal Form to let them know about yourself, the activity that you’d like to lead and your preferred hub location(s). For more information on the Open Streets program as a whole, visit openstreetsto.org.
